There is a famous Romanian folklore ballad called "Miorita" that deals with ethnic conflict among sheepherders. The literary piece inspired this small collection of mixed media drawings that bring the concept to a more modern conflict that deals with the crumbling rural communities shown through the abandoned peasant houses by people that preferred to go abroad to Western Europe. A direct effect of the EU accepting Romania into it's ranks and later into Shengen.
